Fall Season

Summer League is now over and the Club is gearing up for the Fall Season. Shockers, Shocker Juniors and Shocker Sparks have registered to play. This will give our older teams the opportunity to polish their skills before High School try-outs and make the transistion to conditioning a lot easier.

USA CUP

20-07-2010

Shockers do well at USA Cup. Our S3 girls were runners up in their age group, losing to Japan in the Gold flight finals. What a great tournament and last run for our older girls. Our Shocker Juniors boys won the Championship in the B Flight finals.................. A great time was had by all despite 100 dgeree heat/humidity and dodging tornados!

ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Congratulations to Kristen Nakasone for winning the 2010 Shockers Soccer Club Scholarship Award. A very impressive resume to include a 3.94 GPA, National Honor Society, Band, JV/Varsity Soccer and extensive community service through her church. Kristen represents the best of what our Club has to offer, high quality student athletes who excel both on and off the field.
Well done Kristen.............and good luck at UH!

SEASONS END

This weekend saw the end of the Competitive Season. A big MAHALO to our Parents, Coaches and Players for all of their hard work and time. Congradulations to the Shocker Juniors on placing first in the division! It has been a long hard road but has finally paid off. Well done and a special thanks to Coaches Adrain, Craig, Jason and Mike for sticking with these boys over the years. Now it is on to Minnesota and the USA Cup. For those players not traveling or playing in the Summer tournaments, the Club will continue to practice at Waiau during the Summer. Come out and work on your touches in preparation for the Fall School Season.

FIRST WIN!

Today was Mia's Birthday and she celebrated it by scoring two goals and bringing home Hikilele's first win! It was ugly but a win is a win. Congratulations Hikilele Ohana.
Off the field, Congratulations to Amber, Joen and Kenya for making the Junior National Honor Society. That's what it's all about "Student Athletes"

CAR WASH

Congratulations to the S3 Ohana for a very successful car wash this past Sunday at the Kapolei K-Mart. Another plus up of the coffers for the Minnesota trip.

GARAGE SALE

Congratulations to the Shocker Juniors Ohana for a very sucessful Garage Sale today.......A special thanks to Aunty Lynn for allowing us to use her home...............
The boys really have their hearts on going to Minnesota this Summer, unfortunatly to date we have only 10 players committed. Please give this trip your due consideration. The Club will be assuming tournament and player fees to help mitigate the cost. If you are aware of other U14 boys who would want to guest play and travel please contact coach Adrian ASAP.................

Great Job to all concerned for our Aloha Run fundraiser.
A special thanks to Joanne for leading the effort again this year!.....They is a Mandatory meeting tonight at Waiau Fields for our parents traveling to Minnesota for the Schwan USA Cup.....Shockers Hikilele will be having a team-bonding event on friday 26 Feb. see Coach Nate and auntie Mel for details.

U13-19 COMPETITIVE SEASON

Competitive Season for Shockers 3, Shockers, Juniors and Hikilele begin 06 March. First day of formal practice will be Friday 12 february. Welcome back Coaches Geoff and Adrain and all of the girls from High School Season and the State Championships.

MINNESOTA 2010

The Club is planning to travel to Minnesota this year to attend the Schwan's USA Cup Tournament. This will be the Club's third trip with two teams traveling.                                           Club History

          The Shockers Soccer Club was established in 1998 by our current CEO, Mr. Dave Barker, with the formation of our first boys team, the "Shockers". In 1998 our current Director of Coaching, Geoff Maeda formed our first girls team " Shockers Too"and joined the club. Over the next few years the club quickly added three additional girls teams, the "Shockers 3", "Shockers Hoku'ala" , "Shock Tarts" and a new boys team, "Shocker Juniors" under the tutelege of Coach Adrian Tanaka. In 2008 the Club registered as a not for profit corporation in the State of Hawaii and saw the addition of a new girls team, Shockers Hikilele. This year we welcomed Coach Annette Tanaka and the Shocker Sparks into our family. As the Shockers "Ohana" continues to grow we endeavor to remain a family oriented club that uses soccer as a vehicle to develop our players into quality student athletes and valued members of our community.
